HASTINGS, Neb. | Journal Star Super-Stater and Iowa recruit Drew Ott of Giltner headlines the players competing in the 35th annual Sertoma Nebraska 8-Man All-Star football game, which starts today at 1:30 p.m. at Hastings College.

Ott, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end, had 52 catches for 960 yards and 18 touchdowns last season for the Hornets. On the defensive side of the ball, Ott amassed 659 tackles in four seasons as a defensive end.

Joining Ott on the East squad are are second-team Super-State lineman Logan Rath, along with fellow all-staters Zach Wietfeld (Guardian Angels Central Catholic), Trent Mastny (Howells), Jordan Brichacek (Howells).

Bancroft-Rosalie’s Eric Browning, Bloomfield’s Dylan Wilson, Pender’s Zack Johnson and Emerson-Hubbards Isaac Jesson also made the West team.
