SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- South Sioux City's football team had its schedule revealed for the next two seasons on Tuesday.
The Cardinals will play in Class B the next two seasons after electing to play down a class and be ineligible for the postseason as SSC looks to rebuild a program that went 0-9 last season.
The Cardinals have home games against Omaha Bryan, Crete, Blair, Omaha Roncalli and Schuyler next season. Road games are against Ralston, Omaha Gross, Bennington and Mount Michael Benedictine.
BRLD remains in Class C-2 and has home games against Hartington Cedar Catholic, Norfolk Catholic, defending C2 champion Yutan, Louisville and Archbishop Bergan.
Hartington Cedar Catholic will host Oakland-Craig, David City, Norfolk Catholic, Crofton and Stanton in 2018.
Ponca, which had a perfect regular season in 2017, draws home games with BRLD, Hartington Cedar Catholic, Crofton and Norfolk Catholic.
In D2, Emerson-Hubbard will host Homer, Cedar Bluffs, Mead and Clarkson/Leigh. Hartington-Newcastle moves down from D1 to D2 and Pender is also making the same move.
Randolph will look to build on last year's 6-2 mark and winning its playoff opener. Wynot is also back in D2 after a strong run to the state quarterfinals last year before falling to eventual champion BDS.
