NORTH SIOUX CITY | The Dakota Valley boys golf team won the Dakota XII Conference Golf Tournament with a score of 305 at Two Rivers Golf Club on Monday.
Tea was the runner-up with 323 and Madison took third with 324, Elk Point-Jefferson was sixth with 338 and Vermilion was seventh with 339.
Five Dakota Valley players finished in the top 10 individually. Brock Murphy (72) of Tea was medalist while Dakota Valley's Jameson Bull (73) was the runner-up.
The rest of the Panthers saw Tanner Hensley shoot 76 to take third, Paul Bruns had a 77 to claim fourth, Jack Furlong shot 79 to finish eighth, Keaton Hensley, who was right behind in ninth, had an 80 and Cole Kennedy carded a 96.
This is Dakota Valley's first conference golf championship.
Elk Point-Jefferson was led by Tyler Leif's 77 to finish in sixth while Easton Keuck took 16th with an 81. Vermillion was led by Willis Robertson who shot an 80 to take 11th.
Dakota Valley, EP-J and Vermillion are among the teams that will compete in the State Regional Tournament in Vermilion on Monday.
