FORT DODGE, Iowa | Andrew Fierke won two individual events and swam on two winning relays for Fort Dodge, which scored 363.5 points while winning Saturday’s Fort Dodge Invitational.
William Rankin posted the lone victory for Coach Eric Hoak’s Sioux City squad, second in the eight-team meet with 324 points. Rankin was clocked in 56.12 while winning the 100 backstroke and was the leadoff swimmer in the second-place 400 freestyle relay (3:24.37), accompanied by Andrew Oberg, Owen Hoak and Landen Parmelee.
Individual second-place finishes for Sioux City also came from Rankin in the 100 freestyle (49.03) and Cody Ott in the 50 freestyle (22.44).
Hoak, Parmelee, Ott and Cole Zimmerman also combined to finish second in the 200 medley relay (1:44.21).
