ALCESTER, S.D. | The top-ranked (A) Dakota Valley volleyball team swept Alcester-Hudson 25-6, 25-15, 25-14 on Tuesday in Alcester.

Elizabeth Lammers finished with 11 kills and six digs for the Panthers (10-1). Ally Beresford dished out 38 assists. Hanna Cummins notched 10 digs and Alyssa Johnson added nine.

Amelia Stene tallied nine kills and nine digs for Alcester-Hudson (3-2). Karlee Nygard logged 12 digs and seven assists while Jackie Hallaway registered 10 digs.

ELK POINT-JEFFERSON 3, LENNOX 1: The Elk Point-Jefferson volleyball team defeated Lennox 17-25, 25-11, 25-23, 25-18 on Tuesday in Elk Point.

Carlie Corder finished with 12 kills and seven blocks for EP-J (3-3). Kenna Curry and Riley Donnelly both recorded 10 kills. Karly Marx dished out 45 assists. Addison Ludwig tallied 36 digs, Meghan Brewer notched 26 and Katelyn Chytka had 23.

Callie Luke registered eight kills and 24 digs for Lennox (4-7).

IOWA

HINTON 3, CLAY CENTRAL-EVERLY 0: The seventh-ranked (2A) Hinton volleyball team swept Clay Central-Everly 25-9, 25-9, 25-9 in a War Eagle Conference match on Tuesday in Everly.

Bryce Klein and El’Lee Kroll both finished with 11 kills for Hinton (6-2). Hallie Reuter dished out 20 assists and Shelbie Young had 11. Kaley Stoulp notched 11 digs.

Clay Central-Everly falls to 0-4

WESTWOOD 3, WOODBURY CENTRAL 1: The Westwood volleyball team defeated Woodbury Central 25-11, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20 in a Western Valley Conference quadrangular on Tuesday in Sloan.

Brenna Pike and Carah Drees both finished with nine kills for Westwood (8-2). Makenna Harding dished out 28 assists and Lindsea Cole notched 11 digs.

WESTWOOD 3, MVAO/COU 0: The Westwood volleyball team swept MVAO/COU 25-19, 25-15, 25-10 in a Western Valley Conference quadrangular on Tuesday in Sloan.

Brenna Pike recorded eight kills for Westwood (9-2). Makenna Harding dished out 19 assists and Lindsea Cole tallied eight digs.

NEBRASKA

HARTINGTON-NEWCASTLE 3, WYNOT 2: The Hartington-Newcastle volleyball team defeated Wynot 15-25, 25-16, 25-16, 17-25, 15-10 on Tuesday in Wynot.

Julia Eskens recorded 10 kills for Wynot (3-2). Emma Habberman dished out 16 assists and Emersyn Sudbeck added 10. Shaelee Planer notched 16 digs and Noelle Wieseler had 10.

Hartington-Newcastle improves to 7-1.
