BRIEFLY: The ninth-ranked Blue Devils face a stern test in top-ranked Bruning-Davenport-Shickley as they seek a semifinal berth for the second time in the last three seasons. Wynot has won seven straight since a 1-2 start with losses to fifth-ranked Bloomfield and eighth-ranked Humphrey St. Francis. Lucas Thingstad, who has rushed for over 1,500 yards this season, had 127 in the second round road win over Friend. Wynot's defense limited Friend to 190 total yards from scrimmage as Thingstad had 17 tackles and Justin Lange 11. BDS raced to a 50-0 halftime lead of its 50-16 second round win over Fullerton behind four touchdowns from Thomas Mick, two rushing and two receiving.
