EBEN WINS 200TH DUAL

HARTLEY, Iowa | Central Lyon/George-Little Rock clipped Spirit Lake 42-41 in dual action here Thursday.

Spirit Lake had a five-point lead when Keegan Bradley pinned Braeden Schulte in 53 seconds at 160 pounds, but the Indians were forced to forfeit the final match of the night.

The Lions got back-to-back pins to start the dual from Kolten Bus at 182 and Bryce Vande Weerd at 195. Spirit Lake's Dakoda Powell would pin Jarrett Meyer in 1:52 at 220, but the Lions got pins from Ross Wiertsema (285) and Cody Kramer (106).

Spirit Lake got back in the dual with a technical fall by Joe Waters (113), and pins from Bryan Leathers (120), Isaac Dixon (132) and Nate Cornwall (145).

The Lions also downed Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 54-19 behind pins from Kramer, Seth Deatsch (126), Gable Sieperda (138), Caleb DeKam (170), Bus, Jarrett Meyer (220) and Wiertsema.

CL/GLR head coach Curtis Eben picked up the 200th dual victory of his career.
