RALSTON, Neb. | The South Sioux City wrestling team had three grapplers place at the Jim McGrath Invitational tournament here Friday.
South Sioux finished sixth in the eight-team tournament with 45 points. Luis Quezada (195) placed second for the Cardinals. Quezada fell by pin to Omar Garibo of Fremont in the championship match.
Izzy Miranda (132) finished third after winning a 4-1 decision over Nick Groth of Elkhorn South in the third-place match. Adan Curiel (170) placed fourth after losing by pin to Jack Paradis of Elkhorn South in the third-place match.
Millard South won with a team score of 257.5.
