SIOUX FALLS -- Maxim Gaudreault's power play goal at 7:09 of the second period turned out to be the game winner for Sioux City, but what happened shortly after that Saturday night will likely be the most memorable event of the night for most in attendance at the Sioux Falls Arena.

The Musketeers took a 3-2 lead on Gaudreault's score and eventually claimed a 5-2 United States Hockey League win over Sioux Falls in a game that turned to brawling before the red light for the winning goal had barely been turned off.

Just seven seconds on the clock after Gaudreault's effort, the teams turned to fisticuffs, with each team eventually losing six players to fighting game-misconducts. Among those ejected were each team's starting goal keepers -- Sioux City's Matt Skoff and Sioux Falls Jay Williams.

David Henry and Gaudreault gave Sioux City a quick 2-0 lead with goals at 2:48 and 3:42 of the first period. Todd Skirving got Sioux Falls on the board at 13:24 and Austyn Young tied it up at 2-2 at 15:53.

Gaudreault's game-winner was followed late in the middle session by David Goodwin's goal and the Musketeers had the only tally of the final period with Noah Nelson's empty-netter at 17:39.

The Musketeers, who host Omaha on Tuesday, improved to 19-23-1 with the win while Sioux Falls is now 13-25-3.
