The Musketeers’ current three-game losing streak is the longest in the 2018 portion of the season and is the longest since a four-game skid from Nov. 18 to Dec. 1 ... The current winless stretch for Coach Luke Strand’s squad began when they lost a 3-1 second-period lead in the 4-3 defeat at Waterloo last Tuesday and saw a 2-1 second-period lead slip by in Friday’s 6-4 loss at the Tyson Events Center to Cedar Rapids ... Eliminated from playoff contention, the Musketeers have been outscored 7-2 in the third period of the three straight defeats ... Sioux City had won the first three games of the series against tonight’s opponent, but Sioux Falls has won the last four games, tallying at least five goals in each of the last three ... Micah Miller (22 goals, 10 assists) has a team-high four goals in the series against the Stampede while Cole Koepke (26, 11) has three goals and two assists ... Dylan Mills (16, 7) is the only Musketeer with a 2-goal game against Sioux Falls, doing so in a 6-3 loss on March 17 at the Tyson ... Absent from the roster for the remainder of the season is Sampo Ranta (23, 14), who’s currently preparing for play with Team Finland for the International Ice Hockey Federation’s Under-18 Men’s World Championships that will be held April 19-29 in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk, Russia ... Ranta, who delivered an assist on a second-period goal by defenseman Calle Ehrnberg (1, 6) in last Tuesday’s loss at Waterloo, had provided five goals and three assists while scoring in four of his last five games ... Sammy Walker (2, 6) has scored in seven of the 10 games he has played since rejoining the Musketeers in mid-March ... Following tonight’s game, the Musketeers will play at slumping (yet playoff-qualifying) Tri-City (29-25-4) on Friday and will conclude the season Saturday at Omaha (37-16-5).

A whopping 16 different players from the Stampede have scored at least one goal in the last four games of the series against Sioux City ... Artem Ivanyuzhenkov (21 goals, 12 assists) has had three goals and two assists in that span, including two goals in a 7-2 win on March 9 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center ... Adam Dawe (23, 19) has two goals and five assists in that stretch, including a 1-goal, 2-assist effort in a 6-3 win at the Tyson Events Center on March 17 ... Reid Stefanson (13, 26) had three assists to three different teammates in the 5-3 win at the Tyson ... Sioux Falls’ winning streak against its rival to the south began when Paul DeNaples (2, 2) scored the overtime goal in a 2-1 win at the Tyson on Jan. 27 ... Kevin Conley (19, 17) has recorded five goals and three assists in a current eight-game scoring streak ... Teammates Colin Swoyer (7, 29) and Jack St. Ivany (6, 30) are tied for fourth among USHL defensemen with 36 points ... Sioux Falls, which has converted three of 11 power-play chances in the streak against Sioux City, has the league’s fourth-best power play (22.4 percent) and the fifth-best penalty kill (83.5 percent).
