SIOUX CITY | Dordt scored once in each half as the Defenders downed Briar Cliff 2-0 here Tuesday.

Kenzie Bousema scored in the 18th minute for Dordt off an assist from Dallas Parker while Natalie Sakuma scored in the 53rd minute unassisted.

Dordt outshot the Chargers 22-9 and Belle Helgerson made three saves for the shutout.

Dordt improved to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the GPAC while the Chargers fell to 6-3 and 0-1.

NORTHWESTERN 5, DOANE 0: Nicole Farnsworth scored three goals and dished out one assist as the Northwestern women’s soccer team blanked Doane 5-0 in a Great Plains Athletic Conference match on Tuesday in Crete, Neb.

Farnsworth scored her first goal in the opening minute off an assist from Cherish Henry. Madison Bertman scored in the 10th minute off an assist from Farnsworth. Farnsworth scored her second goal in the 32nd minute off an assist from Jessi Carver, and then Farnsworth scored again in the 61st minute off an assist from Sarah Homan. Elise Arant scored the final goal of the match in the 90th minute off an assist from Homan.

Naomi Schimmel notched one save in the shutout for Northwestern (6-2-2, 1-0-1) while Hannah Carlstedt tallied seven saves for Doane (1-6-2, 0-2).

MIDLAND 3, MORNINGSIDE 0: The Warriors scored twice in the 20th minute and added a goal in the second half to down the Mustangs in a Great Plains Athletic Conference match played in Fremont, Nebraska Tuesday.

PT Perez got Midland its first goal on an unassisted scored and Marisa Martinez made it 2-0 off a cornter kick 47 seconds later. Perez added another goal in the 51st minute as the Warriors moved to 7-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the GPAC.

Midland had a 16-6 edge in shots with keepers Nicole McGuire and Jacklyn Obermeier making three and four saves, respectively for Morningside (5-4 overall and 1-1 GPAC).

BRIAR CLIFF 4, DORDT 0: Briar Cliff got two goals from Prichard Sibanda and one apiece from Javier Valle and Rodrigo Oliveira, all in the first half, to win its GPAC opener over Dordt on Tuesday.

Kye Edwards, Oliveira and Valle all had assists.

Briar Cliff outshot the Defenders 25-11 while Charlie Enright got the shutout in net with six saves.

The Chargers improved to 8-1 overall and 1-0 in conference while the Defenders fell to 5-5 and 0-2.

NOTHWESTERN 3, DOANE 0: Alex Schussman had a goal and assist to lead the Raiders to a Great Plains Athletic Conference soccer in over the Tigers in a men's soccer match in Crete, Nebraska Tuesday.

Schussman scored on the 29th minute to put Northwestern up 1-0 off an assist frm Jacob Garcia Nieto. Morgan Newby added a goal 59 seconds after that off an assist from Connor Sams to make the Raider lead 2-0.

Cole Cruse wrapped up the scoring in the 76 minute off an assist from Schussman. Keeper Matt Scott made five saves as the Raiders moved to 5-4-2 overall and 1-1 in the GPAC.

MIDLAND 2, MORNINGSIDE 1: Robert Wiseman converted a corner kick pass in overtime to give the Warriors a win over the Mustangs in a Great Plains Athletic Conference soccer match played in Fremont, Nebraska Tuesday.

Morningside (4-2-3 overall and 1-1 GPAC) struck first when Joao Soares scored off an assist from Sebastian Schoon in the 24th minute.

The lead was short-lived as Dan Wheeler scored in the 26th minute for Midland (6-3 overall and 2-0 GPAC) and the score remained deadlocked until Wisemen's game-winner.

Morningside had a 20-13 edge in shots with keeper Tim Erdmann making three saves.
