CRETE, Neb. | Tyler Osborn scored two goals, three minutes apart in the second half for Morningside’s men’s soccer team in a 5-1 Great Plains Athletic Conference win over Doane Saturday.

Mike Marian gave Morningside (4-7, 2-1 GPAC) a 1-0 first-half lead. En route to its second straight victory, the Mustangs got second-half goals from Saxx Adams and Chico Hernandez.

Evaristo Hernandez recorded two saves in 64 minutes of action for the Mustangs.

MIDLAND 1, BRIAR CLIFF 1 (W): Former Bishop Heelan athlete Sadelle Schultz gave Briar Cliff a 1-1 tie with a unassisted second-half goal in Saturday’s Great Plains Athletic Conference game at Fremont, Neb. Goalkeeper Kalynn Sortino had 10 saves for the Chargers (3-4-3, 1-0-1 GPAC).

ST. CLOUD STATE 2, WAYNE STATE 1 (W): Wayne State lost a 1-0 lead as St. Cloud State rallied with two early second-half goals in Saturday’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game at the WSC Soccer Complex. McKenna Adams got the goal for Wayne State (1-8, 1-5 NSIC) while goalie Courtney True had eight saves.

MIDLAND 1, BRIAR CLIFF 0 (M): Ben Hutton scored a second-half goal for Midland, which improved its GPAC record to 3-0 in Saturday’s home game. Dan Snider had 13 saves for Briar Cliff (1-8-1, 0-2 GPAC), which was shut out for the fifth time this season.

DOANE 3, MORNINGSIDE 1 (W): Courtney Richard collected one goal and two assists as Doane improved to 2-0 in the GPAC. Miranda Gonka scored a second-half goal for Morningside (5-4-2, 1-2 GPAC) while goalie Felicia Reimann had eight saves in 54 minutes before she was replaced by Britney Kleinhesselink (2 saves in 35 minutes).

COE 1, BUENA VISTA 0 (W): Sarah Fathallah’s eighth goal of the season gave Coe Friday’s double-overtime win during Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at J. Leslie Robbins Stadium. Buena Vista (8-3-1, 0-2 IIAC) was outshot 13-9. Losing goalkeeper Jaclyn Pfeifer had five saves.

IUPUI 0, SOUTH DAKOTA 0 (W): South Dakota slipped to 1-7-3 with Friday night’s Summit Conference loss. Jenny Teslow took a team-high five shots for the Coyotes while teammate Jen Shaefer had seven saves.

COE 5, BUENA VISTA 2 (M): Joey Stivers scored two goals for Buena Vista, but it wasn’t enough in Friday night’s IIAC loss. Reid Galbraith and Chris Fitch each scored two goals for Coe.
