VERMILLION, S.D. | Kendall Kritenbrink is threatening to win the Summit League’s volleyball offensive player of the week honor again.
Honored for the fifth time in her career on Monday, the 5-11 University of South Dakota outside hitter celebrated at the DakotaDome.
Kritenbrink slammed a match-high 18 kills during the Coyotes 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-21 Summit triumph over North Dakota.
Kritenbrink also supplied nine digs, six block assists and an ace serve as South Dakota (9-3) won its fourth straight match. Coach Matt Houk’s squad has won seven of their last eight matches.
Setter Tori Kroll recorded 42 assists. Kroll directed an attack that included 12 kills from Sydney Dimke and Kelsey Biltoft’s 10 kills.
Dimke had three ace serves while Kaitlyn Hastings and Audrey Reeg each added two.
Melissa Firtko had two solo blocks and 12 block assists for South Dakota, which will play Hawaii Thursday night at the Wichita State Invitational.
