SIOUX CITY | Nineteenth-ranked Morningside won six of the final seven matches to close out a 22-11 Great Plains Athletic Conference wrestling win over Concordia Thursday night at the Hindman-Hobbs HPER Center.

Morningside trailed 7-3 before fourth-ranked 149-pounder Steven Garcia posted an 8-0 major decision over Chris Kimball to tie the dual, 7-all. Kyle Fowler (157) snapped the deadlock with a 3-2 win and from there, Coach Jake Stevenson’s squad never trailed.

Morningside concluded the regular season with a 6-5 dual meet record. The Mustangs are idle until the NAIA North Qualifier, set for Feb. 17 at Hastings, Neb.
