AMES, Iowa | Need evidence of the excitement building around the Iowa State football program?

Look no further than the Cyclones ticket sales.

Iowa State sold out its student season tickets as of Tuesday morning, the university announced.

"This is the earliest we have sold out of student season tickets in recent memory," said Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads. "The students are the key to an exciting atmosphere on game day at Jack Trice Stadium.

"News like this gets you even more pumped for the season opener."

Season tickets are still available in the grass hillside areas. They can be purchased online, by phone (888-478-2925) or in person at the Iowa State Athletics Ticket Office.

The Cyclones host Tulsa at 11 a.m. on Sept 1 for their season opener.
