Expect to see flags whipping in the wind Tuesday. Northwest winds at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are in the forecast. Temperatures also are expected to drop to 26 degrees by 10 a.m.

SIOUX CITY | A wind advisory is in effect for Siouxland again today with with wind gusts up to 50 mph expected.

After a windy day on Monday, conditions aren't expected to calm down today with sustained winds of 25-35 mph blowing leaves and other unsecured items around. The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m., when winds begin to slowly subside.

If it weren't for the wind, today shapes up to be a nice day with sunny skies and a high temperature of 54 degrees.

The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for less wind on Wednesday with a high of 68 degrees.

Breezy conditions return on Thursday, when sunny skies will become cloudy and the temperature will reach 56 before dipping to a low of 30 during the night. Those chilly temperatures lead to a chance for snow Friday morning, then a chance of rain throughout the rest of the day. Friday will be much colder with a high of 43 degrees.
