SIOUX CITY | The record-setting October rainfall continues to fall, and forecasts show the month's rain total could continue to climb.
As of 7 a.m., Sioux City had received 0.34 of an inch of rain in the past 24 hours, pushing the month's total to 6.81 inches, already above the October record of 5.70 inches that had been set in 2009.
That record total could continue to climb today, with showers forecast to last through the morning and into the afternoon before some slight clearing takes place in the late afternoon and evening. Today's high temperature is expected to be 49 degrees.
Frost is possible tonight or tomorrow morning, with a low of 33 degrees.
Warmer temperatures and sunshine are expected Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the 60s.
Chances of showers return Friday and Saturday.
