SIOUX CITY | By the time you read this, Sioux City will have already had its warmest temperature of the day.

After a high of 54 degrees Monday, overnight lows dropped only into the 30s. That's as warm as it will get today. The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures to drop to 26 degrees by 10 a.m. Making it feel even colder will be a northwest wind blowing at 15-25 mph throughout the day with gusts up to 35 mph.

The cold snap will be short-lived, however. After a low of 14 degrees Wednesday morning, Siouxland will be treated to sunny skies and a high of 42 degrees.

It only gets better for Thanksgiving. Thursday's high is forecast at 53 degrees with sunny skies and calm conditions.
