The Winnebago Housing and Development Commission
has received funding for the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA).
Our mission is to help our tribal members all over the country gain or regain housing
stability with support provided in covering utilities and other necessary housing costs.

To be eligible for assistance, a household must be obligated to pay rent on any
type of residential dwelling, and WHDC must determine that
• One or more individuals within the household has qualified for unemployment
benefits or experienced a reduction in household income, incurred significant
costs, or have experienced other financial hardship due, directly or indirectly to
the COVID-19 outbreak.
• One or more individuals within the household can demonstrate a risk of
experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
• The household income is at 80% or below the median income
• ERA assistance shall be provided to all Winnebago tribal members residing in
boundaries of the United States of America

You must come down to the office and fill out an application - or one
can be emailed at your request.
