Wells Fargo Gray interior

In a photo last month, Justin Gray, Wells Fargo Sioux City market president, stands in the doorway of what will be his new office when renovation of the bank's first-floor space is completed later this summer. The major capital project will put all of the bank's downtown employees on the same floor in remodeled spaces.

SIOUX CITY | A major capital project under way in downtown Sioux City's Ho-Chunk Centre will bring all of Wells Fargo's downtown Sioux City employees together on the same floor in newly remodeled spaces.

The bank currently leases offices on the first and second floors of the two-story atrium in the Ho-Chunk Centre at 600 4th St. The renovation will allow the wealth management and commercial banking departments to move from the second to the first floor, where the bank's retail and mortgage offices are now located.

"A lot of our customers use all of our services," Justin Gray, Wells Fargo's Sioux City market president said. "To have them all in the same spot should be an added convenience."

To make room for all 50 downtown employees, Wells Fargo secured additional first-floor atrium space that has been vacant since an Arby's restaurant closed. The bank's existing space on the first floor also will be extensively renovated.

The project is scheduled for completion in June. For more details, read the February issue of Siouxland Business Journal, which will be available at www.siouxcityjournal.com and Journal news racks around town, beginning early next week.
