SIOUX CITY -- Siouxland Mental Health will host a conference from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 10 at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center to elevate the conversation about mental health and addictive drugs to professionals, clients and family advocates.
The conference, which offers continuing education credits (CEs), will provide information on opioid and other addictive drugs in Siouxland, discuss the importance of HIPAA regulations in the workplace and educate on the positive aspects of emotional intelligence for the population being served.
Guest speakers include Linda Kalin, Executive Director of the Iowa Statewide Poison Center; Gary Jones, attorney and founder of Midwest Compliance Associates (MCA); and Brenda Clark Hamilton, founder of Fresh Coffee Professional Growth Programs.
