SIOUX CITY -- Hawkeye Vision Group, led by Dr. Steven J. Ferguson, has completed the acquisition of the eight-location Exact Eye Care network of vision centers in South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska.
Ferguson said patients should expect a new look and expanded well-vision and vision medical services with the same value-based optical products with increased brand availability.
"Our partners in this transition have a long history of delivering patient-centered care in a friendly environment with excellent customer service to each and every patient,” Ferguson said in a statement Monday. “Together we believe we can further develop the vision-medical services provided in Exact’s clinics and continue to grow the network for years to come.”

Exact Eye Care has two Sioux City clinics -- at 431 Pierce St. and 2513 Hamilton Blvd. Other clinics are in Rock Valley and Storm Lake, Iowa; Norfolk, Nebraska; and Brandon and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The network serves more than 30,000 patients.
Plymouth County Eye Care in Le Mars, another clinic under the Hawkeye Vision Group umbrella, also will be brought into the Exact Eye Care network, expanding the list of medical-eye services available in the newly renovated clinic, while offering Exact's value-based optical pricing.
Ferguson said Hawkeye Vision Group will look to expand the number of clinics in the Exact network, with a new selection of stylish and affordable eyewear, including premiere lines like Oakley and Ray-Ban. The firm also will look to add clinics that will focus on specialty vision-medical services, including dry eye and meibomian gland disease diagnosis and management, glaucoma management, LASIK screenings, myopia control, headache management, as well as routine well-vision care.
