The Sioux City Cosmopolitan Club held its annual officers installation and awards banquet Aug. 16 at Botticelli's.
The slate of new officers sworn in were: Judi Dorn, president; Judy Morton, vice president programs; Pat Curry, vice president membership; Wayne Hinkel and Dr. Ken Todd, vice president projects; Richard Gordon, sergeant at arms; Gary Munson, secretary, Bruce Meyer, treasurer; Judy Mullen, vice president socials; Bog Derflinger and Mike Potash, members at large; Matt Chilton, immediate past president.
Bob Hanson, Cosmopolitan Cornbelt Federation Governor from Bellevue, Neb., presided over the installation ceremony. Mary Holmes was the master of ceremonies. Matt Chilton presented awards.
The Sioux City Cosmopolitan Club meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. at the Best Western City Centre, Second and Nebraska streets. The Sioux City club raises funds by selling Christmas trees on Hamilton Boulevard., sponsoring a spring golf benefit, parking cars at River-Cade and directing traffic during Artsplash.
The mission of Cosmopolitan International is to contribute to community well being through charitable donations and volunteer service with special emphasis on supporting efforts to prevent and find a cure for diabetes.
