Briar Cliff University will debut its annual spring play on March 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and 17 at 2 p.m. in the University’s Theatre. The play, Dating Games, was originally written by Garth Wingfield.
Dating Games is a comedy that aims to capture the feeling of dating in modern society. The play is a collection of five scenarios, which range in subject matter from “an endless string of horrible blind dates” to “a presumptuous pick-up attempt gone awry.”
The play only contains four actors, who each play multiple parts over the course of the five scenarios. They will use only a few props in order to capture the “human connection” of dating. Beau Sudtelgte will be directing the play. Student actors include Ariel Pokett, Colin Werner, Tim Baker, and Taylor Sterling.
“The audience is always impressed with the talent. This is a comedy, so it is sure to get a lot of laughs,” Sudtelgte says.
Admission to the play is free. For more information, contact Beau Sudtelgte at (712) 279-1633.
