Have you ever wondered what kinds of goods Sioux City people purchased 124 years ago? Take a peek at advertisements taken out in the Sioux City Journal on Oct. 17, 1894, for products as diverse as whiskey, three-day gonorrhea cures, overcoats, flowers and "periodical pills." There's also a doctor who could treat "seminal weakness, impotency, syphilis, gleet, gonorrhea" and several other medical conditions, including "female troubles."
