Iowa makes its comic book debut Feb. 20.
In a Justice League of America edition released later this month, those superhero friends can be seen hoisting an Iowa flag. The special edition will include other states, too, and -- as expected -- become a collectible for comic book fans.
Justice League of America No. 1 is a new comic book series from writer Geoff Johns and artist David Finch. They're giving a spotlight to Green Arrow, Katana, Martian Manhunter, Simon Baz, Stargirl, Vibe, Hawkman and Catwoman.
If you're a follower, you know the Justice League has handled threats "too massive for any single hero." Now, however, the U.S. military has formed its own league with Col. Steve Trevor in charge.
The Justice League, says Johns, is comprised of "underdogs who have everything to prove and something to lose."
The team's formation -- and motives -- will be revealed in Part One of "World's Most Dangerous." The goal: "Trinity War," which, presumably, will test the superheroes' strengths.
