Foreigner to perform at Orpheum


Foreigner will perform with the Dave Eggar Orchestra on Friday at Sioux City's Orpheum Theatre. Lead singer Kelly Hansen says that declining sales in the recording industry mean bands have to be on tour more and more. 

SIOUX CITY | Multi-platinum album rock band Foreigner will play at Sioux City's Orpheum Theatre in collaboration with the Dave Eggar Orchestra.

The concert is set for 8 p.m. March 30.

Foreigner has sold more than 75 million albums and charted 16 top 30 hits, including "I Want to Know What Love Is," "Hot Blooded," "Cold as Ice" and "Waiting for a Girl Like You."

The band, featuring founding member and guitarist Mick Jones, will team with Dave Eggar, a collaboration that "ignites new flavor and excitement into Foreigner's cascade of hits," according to a news release from concert promoter Jade Presents. "This limited live orchestra engagement is being celebrated for its fresh, other dimension-like audio experience."
