SIOUX CITY | David Goodwin has been named captain of the Sioux City Musketeers.
A center, Goodwin was acquired in a trade from the Green Bay Gamblers in November of last season. The Penn State recruit ranked fourth on the club with 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists) in 47 games.

Goodwin never went more than three games without a point in his time with the Musketeers. Coach Brett Larson’s squad was 26-23-1 after the trade and went from averaging 2.5 goals to 3.9 when the regular season ended.
Defensemen Cliff Watson and Michael Holland have been named assistant captains for the Musketeers.
Watson collected eight assists in 58 games. Holland scored five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in 26 games following a trade from Cedar Rapids.
Watson and Holland were part of a defensive corps that allowed an average of 2.37 goals while going 17-9-1 following a 4-3 loss to Sioux Falls on Jan. 18.
