CREIGHTON, Neb. | Creighton’s wrestling team won four of the final five matches en route to defeating Dakota Valley 48-30 Thursday night.
Dakota Valley rallied to tie the dual three times, the latest when 182-pounder Sam Wente pinned Brenden Waldow in 3:42 to knot the score at 24. Anthony Cook’s forfeit win at 195 launched the run that triggered Creighton to its third win of the night.
Dakota Valley also received pins from Henry Linden (126) and Collin Becker (160).
Creighton, earlier in the quadrangular, posted wins over Laurel-Concord/Coleridge (54-12) and Ponca (60-3).
