SIOUX CITY -- Maddie Clayton scored a career-high 21 points as West edged East 62-56 in a Missouri River Conference girls basketball game played Monday at East High.

Clayton, a 5-8 senior, registered her first career 20-plus point outing and reached double figures for just the sixth time in the Wolverines first 15 games.

Jayda Graham added 19 points and 10 rebounds while Carly Knutson-Kobold had 14 as West moved to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in the MRAC.

Kennedy McCloy had a season-high 20 points for the Black Raiders (1-11, 1-6). Paige Hanson added 11 points for a East team that was missing senior scoring leader Taylor Copple for the sixth straight game.

Braedyn Downs had 14 points and Madison Burge 10 as West won the junior varsity game 60-25. Nya Malout led East with 12.
