Spring Limericks and poems from Mrs. Klinker’s Third Grade Class Cherokee, Iowa

I won a lot of games,

but I should.

My last game race

was good.

There were a lot of players

And also many layers

The player named Bryan was good!

There once was a boy in school

who collected rocks and so...

His room was full of socks and rocks.

His mom said to clean up with a bro

He cleaned up his room

with the broom.     ‘

But forgot his sister and

left the rocks and

 socks in

in his pockets.

I know a leprechaun named Kyle

and he has a pile

 of gold.

He loves his gold

 and it’s very old.

It will never be sold

 even if it gets mold.

He will run a mile

 in the cold

for the gold.

And never will the gold

be sold!

There once was a boy named Cael who liked to read.

He read about dogs who rolled in the dirt.

He read a book called, One Fish, Two Fish, Red, Fish,

Blue Fish.

And in the book there was a glue fish.

Now he is reading about growing kale.

There is always traffic in the city.

In the city the traffic goes lickety- splittity

Driving is always a mess.

Unless you’re safe and out of the stress

If the traffic is going lickety -splittityy

get out and then try to rest!
