Lionel "Chris" Bostwick of Ponca, Nebraska, will celebrate his 80th birthday on March 5, 2018.

His children are Lynne (Bob) Wilcke and Chad Bostwick, all of Ponca, Debbie (Joe) O'Neill of Jackson, Nebraska, Craig (Tina) Jones of Newcastle, Nebraska. He also has 16 grandchildren and spouses and 19-plus great-grandchildren.
Chris married Bonnie on Dec. 10, 1977. After several years of selling edible oils for Swift Inc., Chris moved to Ponca and ran Centennial Lanes. From there he owned and operated The Lazy J bar before venturing into sales. Chris worked for Berg Corporation (a train derailment service), and later, he and his brothers and others bought and ran it as Midwest Derailment based in Sioux City. While retired, he sells doors and garage doors for Days Doors. Before moving to the Siouxland area, Chris played fastpitch softball for several teams in the Sioux Falls area. Since moving to Ponca in 1975, he has been a member of the Ponca Rodeo Association and worked as the business manager for close to 40 years. He loves spending time on his lawnmower and playing cards as a pastime.
