MACY, Neb. | Five of 14 candidates for two tribal council seats advanced to the Nov. 3 general election in the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska's primary voting Thursday.

Unofficial results were: Jeff Miller, 303 votes; Michael Wolfe, 277; Isaac Sherman Jr., 270; Gwendolyn Porter, 242; and Orville Cayou, 228.

Miller and Porter are incumbents.

Also running were Marla Spears, with 213 votes; Doran Morris Jr., 166; Kenna Robinson, 142; Tillie Aldrich, 139; Christine Saunsoci, 137; Brian Sargeant, 110; Varian Morris, 107; Veda Harlan-Webster, 106; and Shelley Baxter, 85.
