The cold case investigation into the death of Wilma June Nissen continues to heat up as authorities have located her ex husband and have confirmed that a woman who came forward is indeed her daughter.
Donald Wellington, who Nissen married in June or July or 1973, is now residing in the Palmdale, Calif., area, the Lyon County Sheriff's office announced Thursday.
The sheriff's office has asked California authorities to pick up Wellington for questioning.
During her marriage to Wellington, Nissen was arrested several times in a two-year period for prostitution, Lyon County Sheriff Blythe Bloemendaal said previously.
Bloemendaal has said he believes Nissen may have run away from Wellington.
Also Thursday, the sheriff's office announced that a 28-year-old woman who came forward in mid February has been confirmed through DNA testing to be Nissen's daughter. The woman's identity and location were not revealed.
