SIOUX CITY -- A senior class of 129 will graduate from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in a commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Orpheum Theatre.
Valedictorian Zachary Morris and Salutatorian Bryce Reynolds will formally address the Class of 2018. Student Council President John Paul Keane will lead his class in the Prayer of St. Francis.
The Rev. Shane Deman will give the opening invocation. Timm Funk, interim CEO of Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools, will deliver remarks, followed by the call to graduation by Heelan Principal Christian Bork. Bishop R. Walker Nickless of the Diocese of Sioux City will bestow diplomas along with Jake Delfs, academic dean and Funk.
More than 95 percent of Heelan seniors will be attending 50 different colleges, most of them four-year colleges and universities.
