Powell Broadcasting break-in

The above screenshot from surveillance footage shows men trespassing inside the Powell Broadcasting building on Sioux City's north side. Police charged all three of the men with criminal trespass.

SIOUX CITY -- Three men have been charged with criminal trespass following a July 31 incident at the Powell Broadcasting building.

According to a post on the Sioux City Police Department's Facebook page, 23-year-old Joshua Gardner, 19-year-old Jeffery Grillet and 18-year-old Chance Packard are the three visible in security camera footage, holding what appear to be firearms. They were all charged with criminal trespass Aug. 8.

The weapons which they appeared to be holding were Airsoft or BB guns, according to the notice. They reportedly went into the building "on an expedition to find paranormal activity."

SCPD advises readers to use better judgement than the men who were arrested.

"Please use this as a lesson to stay out of other people's property and use common sense when carrying around items that look like firearms. This could easily have been a tragedy," the post read.
