Police ID body found near Winnebago, Neb.

WINNEBAGO, Neb. | Authorities have identified the man whose body was found Wednesday in the Missouri River.

The cause of 56-year-old David Lawrence Deaton’s death has been determined as an accidental drowning. No foul play is suspected, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials are not releasing the name of Deaton's hometown.

The man's body was found Wednesday morning near Big Bear Park, east of Winnebago, authorities said.
