SIOUX CITY -- An equipment failure at an electrical substation left 644 Woodbury County Rural Electric Cooperative customers without electricity Wednesday morning
The outage began around 9:34 a.m. Wednesday. A number of businesses were impacted by the outage, including Perkins and Planet Fitness on the eastern end of Gordon Drive.
Most of the impacted customers were residential.
The equipment failure, which was caused by a small animal, was repaired by 10:13 a.m. and all customers had their power restored.
