James Jensen, a 55-year-old man, went missing Friday after taking a taxicab to the Walmart on Floyd Boulevard. Several of his belongings were later found along the Floyd River behind Pizza Ranch, but he was not located.

SIOUX CITY -- The Sioux City Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a missing person.

According to a press release from the SCPD, 55-year-old James Jensen was reported missing last Thursday. Jensen is described as a white male with short gray hair, about 5' 10" tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds.

Jensen suffers from severe depression and has a history of suicidal tendencies. He does not drive and frequently uses the local cab system.

He was last seen getting a ride from Siouxland Taxi and was dropped off at the Walmart on Floyd Boulvard around 10 p.m. Thursday. He did not arrange a pickup ride.

Some of his personal items were subsequently located near the Floyd River behind Pizza Ranch, and Sioux City Fire Rescue and the Sioux City Police Department searched the area unsuccessfully for him.

Jensen's photo is attached. If he is seen or if anyone has any information, please contact detective Brad Echter or the Sioux City Police Department immediately.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article misstated the day Jensen went missing. He has been missing since Thursday.
