SIOUX CITY -- The public can get an up-close look at Sioux City Police Department squad cars, watch K-9 demonstrations and receive a guided tour of the department's "Hall of History" during an afternoon open house Saturday.

From 2 to 5 p.m., visitors who come to the Police/Fire Headquarters, 601 Douglas St., can participate in the free activities, which also include crime prevention information, crime scene investigation unit information, information about volunteer opportunities, and cake and refreshments.

The police department in a press release said the event will be a fun event for families to attend and learn more about their local police department.
