SIOUX CITY | A South Sioux City man was arrested related to a early Friday morning robbery at Kum & Go, 1005 Gordon Drive.
At approximately 10:42 p.m. Thursday, a male suspect robbed the Kum & Go, located at 3808 Dakota in South Sioux City. The suspect allegedly entered the store, displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
At 1:08 a.m. Friday, a robbery occurred at the Gordon Drive Kum & Go. Again, the suspect displayed a gun and left with cash and merchandise.
According to investigators, the suspect in both robberies matched the same description.
At approximately 2 a.m. Friday, Sioux City Police officers conducted checks at Sioux City Kum & Go locations. Officers observed a suspect matching the description near the 1821 Hamilton Blvd. Kum & Go. Officers stopped the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
Devon M. Simons, 18, was charged with robbery in the second degree in relation to the robbery at the Gordon Drive Kum & Go, Charges are pending in the robbery in South Sioux City.
