SIOUX CITY | A bucking bull named in honor of a fallen Marine will make his debut appearance at the Rawhide Bull Riding Challenge Jan. 20-21 at the Tyson Events Center.
Sniper is a black Brahman-Crossbred bull that was named after 21-year-old Marine Hunter "HD" Hogan, who was killed in action in June 2012 in Afghanistan, a press release said.Â
Owner Marty Barnes, of Barnes PRCA Rodeo, from Peterson, Iowa, bought the bull after he learned all proceeds went to a scholarship in memory of Hogan, the release said.Â
For tickets to see the bull buck for the first time, go to tysoncenter.com. Prices start at $10 for adults and $8 for children.Â
