YANKTON, S.D. — A Yankton man is facing criminal charges after a fight inside a Yankton pizza restaurant turned deadly.

Jameson C. Mitchell, 22, is accused of fatally shooting Lucas Smith in an alley last Saturday after the two were thrown out of Mojo's Pizza and Spirits because of a fight. Police say the suspect approached Smith with a gun shortly after they were kicked out of the restaurant, shot him several times and ran from the scene.

The Argus Leader says police pinged the suspect's phone to find him. He was arrested at his Yankton residence.

The Sioux City Journal reports that Mitchell has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
