OMAHA -- A Macy, Nebraska, woman was sentenced Wednesday to a year in federal prison for stabbing another woman on the Omaha Indian Reservation.
Curtina Morris, 49, pleaded guilty in April in U.S. District Court in Omaha to one count of assault by striking, beating or wounding in Indian country. She must also serve one year on supervised release upon completing her prison sentence.
According to court documents, Morris stabbed the other woman in the abdomen with a paring knife on March 14, 2017. The victim underwent surgery for the wound, court documents said.
