According to court documents, Taylor, listed in court records as a transient, entered an apartment in the 2600 block of South Rustin Street at about 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, pointed a handgun at a male occupant with whom he'd been in a fight about an hour earlier and said "I'm here to finish this," or something similar.
During an ensuing struggle, a shot was fired from the gun into the ceiling, and Taylor fled from the scene.
