PETERSON, Iowa -- A Peterson man was arrested following a sex offender check conducted by a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy on Dec. 21.

Investigators say Vincent Rey Duran, 30, failed to report updated information to the Clay County Sheriff's Office within the required five business days.

Duran was charged with a sex offender registration (second or subsequent) violation, which is a class D felony. He was being held at the Clay County jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
