SIOUX CITY  | Sioux City Police are looking for information after an alleged kidnapping and robbery Wednesday night.

Just before midnight, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle near 27th and Jennings streets, according to a release from the department.

The vehicle fled and the suspects threw a gun out of the window in the midst of the brief pursuit.

Officers later found the vehicle unoccupied in the 2600 block of Douglas Street. Shortly after that, officers were flagged down by an individual who said he was robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint from his home.

It was determined that he was forced into the same vehicle officers had earlier pursued and he was able to escape when officers attempted to stop the vehicle.

Two individuals were harmed during the robbery which took place in a residence on the 2700 block of Virginia.

One person required medical attention and was treated and released from a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
