SIBLEY, Iowa -- A Sibley man was arrested Sunday on drug and gun charges stemming from a traffic stop. 

According to a press release from the Osceola County Sheriff's Department, an Osceola deputy stopped 38-year-old Joseph Lame of Sibley at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street in Sibley. 

After an investigation, Lame was charged with possession of a controlled substance -- methamphetamine; possession of a firearm in a controlled substance violation; possession of drug paraphernalia; driving with a suspended license; and failure to provide proof of financial liability. 

Lame was transported and booked into the Osceola County Jail, where he was held on $1,000 bond.
