SIOUX CITY -- A Sioux City man was arrested Saturday evening for crimes he may have committed in February through April of 2017.

Nathan Berry, 22, was charged with second-degree theft and identity theft. He is being held at the Woodbury County Jail on an $18,000 bond.

According to court documents, Berry took a credit card number belonging to his grandparents without their permission or authorization. Berry used the card 80 times between Feb. 1 and April 1, 2017, to make several online purchases totaling at least $1,347.

In a post-Miranda interview, the defendant admitted to taking the credit card number with intent to use it, and used his grandfather’s name and address on these transactions, according to the documents.

Berry was also charged with fourth-degree theft in addition to other charges.

According to court documents, the defendant entered Scheels and concealed two pairs of shoes and a pair of sweatpants valuing $249 in a backpack, then left the store.
