SIOUX CITY -- A Sioux City man was arrested early Wednesday and charged with stealing two vehicles in a four-day period.

Seth Lawler was booked into the Woodbury County Jail on charges of first-degree theft, second-degree theft, third-offense operating while intoxicated and driving while his license was revoked.

Lawler was arrested at 12:50 a.m. in the 900 block of 16th Street after police observed him driving a 2010 Lincoln MKT that had been reported stolen from a business parking lot at 4218 Morningside Ave. Tuesday.

According to court documents, Lawler showed signs of intoxication when he was stopped, and his blood-alcohol level tested at .133 percent, above Iowa's legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Police found Lawler in possession of keys and a keyless entry remote for a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that had been stolen Saturday from the parking lot at the McDonald's at 4105 Morningside Ave., court documents said. The pickup was recovered near the location where the Lincoln had been stolen, and the rear license plate had been changed.
